Birthdate:  7/28/1971

Hometown:  Originally from Memphis, TN. Now an 8-year resident of SF.

Occupation:  Marketing Analyst

Education:  BSBA in Marketing from University of Tulsa; MSBA in Business Analysis from SF State

Family Life:  Live in shoebox-sized apartment with my dog, Bandit.

Running History:  Started running my Sophmore year of high school when I realized I was too uncoordinated and too short to play basketball and have been running ever since. I've completed 8 marathons and bunch of 5Ks, 10Ks, and 1/2 marathons.

Miles per week:  25 - 35

Paces:  between 6:30 and 9:00 depending on what race or training run I'm doing

Favorite Race:  Lake Tahoe 1/2 Marathon

Best Running Experience:  Shaving 28 minutes off my marathon PR in Portland last October.

Worst Running Experience:  1997 California International Marathon. It poured rain the entire race with temps in the upper 40s. My shoes were soaked by mile two, I was under-dressed and ended up with mild hypothermia, and I had a bad case of plantar fascitis that made walking after the marathon very difficult. To make things worse, the course was boring and there were very few spectators. Needless to say, I won't be doing that marathon ever again.

Diet:  I would say healthy, but I can't ever resist pizza or dessert.

Injuries:  currently dealing with a calf/achilles injury that hopefully will go away very soon!

Non-Running Interests:  Cycling, triathlons, hiking, kayaking, dinners/drinks with friends, movies, traveling to new places, dessert :-)
