SARA

Birthdate:  August 28, 1980

Hometown:  Littleton, Colorado

Occupation:  Currently I am a student at the Academy of Art but I have my sights set on a career in Computer Animation somewhere in the Bay Area.

Education:  I received my undergraduate degree in Fine Arts at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Now I am getting a second degree in Computer Animation here in SF.

Family Life:  My family still lives in Colorado, my parents are in Littleton and my brother is at school in Boulder getting a degree in mechanical engineering. As for me...at the moment I am single.

Running History:  I started running when I was about 14 because my mom was doing it and I thought it was cool. I joined the XC team when I was a sophomore and ran throughout HS. I continued running competitively through my first year of college with University of Colorado XC and track teams and then I got injured and really burnt out....(60 miles a week can do that to you). Now I run strictly for fun and race when I feel like it.

Miles per week:  10 - 30

Paces:  8 to 9 minute mile...sometimes a 7:30 minute mile if I am feeling good

Favorite Race:  Hard to say...I have so many. For a competitive race I would have to say the League race in HS where I PRed and was named all conference. As for a fun race I would say the Georgetown to Idaho Springs half marathon in Colorado. Something about the scenery and the fact that it is all down hill makes it especially enjoyable.

Best Running Experience:  Most times I go out are a good time but I would have to say my best experience was running up Mount Falcon on summer evenings in Colorado. At the top you really felt like you accomplished something.

Worst Running Experience:  Any time I am running and feel an injury coming on.

Diet: Pizza, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pesto pasta, burritos, chocolate, green tea, soymilk, and anything else that takes 10 minutes or less to prepare.

Injuries:  Lots and Lots in my past including IT problems in my knees and issues in my ankles and feet. I try to keep them under control with new shoes and cross training.

Non-Running Interests:  Painting and drawing, hiking, skiing, cycling, and going to movies with friends.

Who would star as you in the Hollywood story of your life? humm...thats a tough one...if I had to pick I would say Meg Ryan.
