PRX PROFILES

JESSICA

Birthdate:   Groundhog's Day (shame on you if you don't know when that is).

Hometown:  Aptos, CA

Occupation
:  Retired........at least until the economy improves.

Education:  USC

Family Life
:  My only family in San Francisco is my twin and her husband. She's the one that introduced me to this running group. Yeah Lindsey! She likes to be called Jessica though so don't fret if you get her confused for me.

Running History:   I made all my PRs in junior high but quit running after that. I picked up running earlier in the year and found out that you run a lot slower once you gain 25 pounds.

Miles per week:  15, unless I'm training for something.

Paces:  I don't run by time, I run by effort with a heart rate monitor.

Favorite Race:  Any one that I can finish.  The shorter, the better because I like to go my fastest when I race.

Best Running Experience:   I had a really good run by myself a few months ago once I got a new pair of running shoes. I'm convinced it was the shoes.

Worst Running Experience:   My first Olympic-distance triathlon (10K of running). Running cannot feel good after biking 25 miles.

Diet:   Pretty much anything though I am convinced I can live off of LUNA bars alone.

Injuries:  Shin splints when I first started running.

Non-Running Interests:   Yoga, cooking, baking, drinking and spending time with friends.

Who would star as you in the Hollywood story of your life?   I can't think of anyone that would be quite right. I think my Hollywood story would have to be animated.
