University of North Florida, Jacksonville. Family Life: My mom, 3 older siblings, their spouses, 1 niece & 1.5 nephews, all live on the east coast, from Connecticut to Florida. Running History: Lots of races ranging between 1 and 26.2 miles, from Central Park to The Presidio. Miles per week: Between 15 and 50 miles/week, the latter when training for a marathon. Paces: Between 6.5 and 9 minute miles, depending on the distance (from 1 to 26.2 miles.) Favorite Race: The Putnam County Fall Classic Half-Marathon in Upstate New York ... winding through lakes, hills, woods and the most brilliant fall foliage you can imagine! Best Running Experience: The 2002 NYC Marathon! I ran with one of my best friends, Monica. It was my first ever and one of the most exilarating days of my life. You can hear all of Manhatten roaring as you come over the Queensborough Bridge! Worst Running Experience: The Tune Up To Love It 18-miler for the NYC Marathon... I was completely unprepared without any fuel to run on (no gu, bananas or power bars... eek!) Diet: Raisin Bran, banana pancakes, strawberry Carnation Instant Breakfast, Green Juice, salads w/ dill, grilled cheese sandwiches w/ tomato soup, DeGiorno Spicy Chicken Supreme Pizza, Indian food, Sushi, Persian food, pesto pasta & Haagen Dazs Pistachio Ice Cream. Injuries: Shin splints, once from increasing my miles too quickly. Non-Running Interests: Sailing, hiking, exploring, travelling ... and at the moment, studying.
