CHARITY

Birthdate:   7/11/77

Hometown:  Ephrata, Washington

Occupation:  I'll have to get back to you on that one. I just moved here two days ago and am searching.

Education:  University of Washington

Family Life:  single

Running History:  I started running in high school. A devoted P.E. teacher/ assistant X-C coach tricked me into joining the team and I fell in love. Aside from the one year I took off after college to focus on my beer consumtion abilities I have ran ever since.

Miles per week:  20-30 and rising. I've decided to run the London marathon and need to get serious about my training.

Paces:  Currently 9min. I'm hoping the group will encourage me to get back to my 8 min. training pace I had only a year ago.

Favorite Race:  Dawg Dash - A 10K that works itself around the UW campus. It's a college pride thing. :)

Best Running Experience:  Finishing my first marathon (San Diego 2003). I cried, laughed and shoved massive amounts of food in my mouth all at the same time.

Worst Running Experience:  Seattle Half 2002. I ridiculously overtrained and in the second mile my left knee was spent. I ran for seven more miles on it and eventually couldn't even walk anymore. I had to stop running for six weeks. Since then everything about my running has changed in a frustrating way. My knee will always be vulnerable to injury and I have to be extremely careful.

Diet:  Hmm... This is a tough one. I'm not sure I want people to know all my deep dark secrets.

Injuries:  Tendonitis in left knee. And I think right now my left foot is broken. It has been hard to walk and run on for 4 weeks now. I keep hoping it will be gone one morning when I wake up.

Non-Running Interests:  Reading, tennis, golf, scuba, snow skiing, wakeboarding, baking, scrapbooking, friends & family, travel...

Who would star as you in the Hollywood story of your life?  I'm not certain. Maybe Katie Holmes if she was shorter.
